A monk to make it 55 or 600 Smiter probably it's the best choice but you can make an elementalist aswell.... Up to you gg

A warrior, although not the quickest, can farm pretty much anywhere.

monk is for farming
warrior also good for farming because you can farm in areas with ench removal and chest running is easier

The only class that is pointless to attempt to farm with is paragon
The rest you can farm well with in heaps of areas
But I'd definetly recommend you farm with a monk

Should try Monk or ele since they're good at soloing..
But if you're new to farming or w.e, then I recommend monk

There are so many different types of farming out there, but if you want easy and sfe then, get a character (ele, monk, mesmer, necro, warrior, dervish) 55/130hp it and have a blast, easy as that.

If you have all three chapters, or even the first two, Slivernewal is an easy and versatile elemental build. The key skills are Ether Renewal and Sliver Armor; Stoneflesh Aura is a very nice addition.
But if you're missing either of the first two chapters, I think a 55 monk is way ahead of an elementalist.
An elementalist is also cheaper. You don't really need a perfect 20% enchanting mod; in fact, I usually wield a 19%, and lower would work just as well. Or you can get a 20% enchanting green staff with the "wrong" attribute; that works just fine too, and some of those are very cheap.

Monk for me. After monk it's necro, because SS and SV are the two skills I use to solo now. But I'm making an ele, so =P
